Wright & Filippis has sponsored the Wheelchair Daze Picnic since 1980. This event is a free picnic for people of all ages, with any form of disability and their immediate families. The afternoon features carnival games, clowns, boat rides, a barbecue lunch, and much more for the whole family.  Because of the popularity of this event, we’ve also added an additional location in the Saginaw area to help serve people with disabilities in mid-Michigan.

30th Annual Wheelchair Daze Picnic
August 7, 2010 marked the 30th annual Wheelchair Daze picnic, held at Independence Oaks Park
in Clarkston, Michigan. Picnic-goers enjoyed a barbecue lunch, games, music, dancing and boat
rides.

Wright & Filippis would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who helped to make this year’s
picnic a huge success. With over 2,200 people in attendance, this was the largest group in the 30
year history of the event and we would not have been able to service all of the guests without your
help. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the Rubino Family for their generous
donation of hamburgers, hot dogs and buns. View the photos.
