John Wright – Vice President of Business Development

John Wright has always had genuine concern for the well being of others. In 1972, he graduated from the Sacred Heart Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Before joining Wright & Filippis in 1978, he served as manager of Johnson Rents, a home medical equipment company located in Detroit.
As Vice President of Wright & Filippis, John oversees the Third Party Administration division of the company, along with Marketing, Home Medical Equipment, Rehab Wheelchairs, and Active Infusion divisions of Wright & Filippis.
A previous board member of the Home Medical Equipment Association, John has been instrumental in the expansion and implementation of the Home Medical Equipment and Home Infusion side of the business. His goal is to keep the “family-type atmosphere” alive.
John has been working in cooperation with several Managed Care Organizations relative to home medical equipment, prosthetics and orthotics for over 25 years, negotiating preferred provider arrangements and Third Party Administrator services.
Being the father of four and the grandfather of four leaves little free time for John, but his special affinity for people with special needs has lead to his support of several noteworthy charities. As a board member of Lighthouse of Oakland County, John supports services to low-income families in Oakland County. He’s also on the board of ZIAD, a group which provides healthcare for the underinsured people of Michigan.
