Position Highlights:
Responsible for recruitment, hiring, orientation, evaluation and on-going in-services for technicians. Assures internal and external customer responsiveness. Logs all incoming and outgoing Orthotic and Prosthetic jobs. Facilitates all purchases. Processes PO's, and shipments. Tracks job remakes and identifies causes of lost revenue and reports to Administration. Maintains proper inventory levels.

Requirements:
College degree preferred. The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a standardized situation.


Certified Pedorthotist

Position Highlights:
Evaluates and designs foot orthoses and shoes for patients requiring protective support or correction.

Requirements:

Lead Coordinator

Position Highlights:
Leads and implements improved customer service throughout Wright & Filippis. Assists in training and implementing new Performance Improvement Plans with staff at our clinics. Provides training on the Bright Tree Software System (patient & billing management system) at clinic locations. Coordinates with Managers/Supervisors on clinic evaluation and competence assessment for the customer service staff. Greets, acknowledges, schedules and registers patient promptly and courteously. Requirements:

In some cases, the Lead Coordinator will be required to stay over-night for multiple nights at clinic locations. MUST have a clean driving record.

Orthotic Fitter

Position Highlights:
Determines the orthotic needs of the patient in conjunction with the Orthotist. Develops a treatment protocol for the patient in conjunction with the Orthotist. Properly educates the patient in the wear and care protocol for the determined orthotic device. Demonstrates proper documentation of the patient's history and financial records. Interprets patient data and model in continued care to ensure proper fit and function of orthotic care.

Requirements:
College degree preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Prior experience working with patients preferred.

Orthotic Resident
  • Various Locations, Michigan
Position Highlights:
Our Orthotic residents rotate between facilities, departments, and clinics for the optimum exposure to patient care in the Detroit metropolitan area. The rotations are under certified orthotists and a certified pedorthists. The specialties covered are: Pediatrics (including helmets), Scoliosis, Pediatric and Adult Rehab, Trauma (including Halos), Pedorthics, Diabetic foot care, Central fabrication, Charcot Marie Tooth Clinic, Spina Bifida Clinic. Our orthotic staff meets quarterly for in-services with presentations in new product lines, billing practices, fraud and abuse education and prevention, patient care issues, and much more. We have the pleasure of hosting in house programs by suppliers with CEU credits.

Requirements:
Certificate or degree in Orthotics from an accredited Orthotics program.

Prosthetic Resident

Position Highlights:
Our Prosthetic residents rotate between facilities, departments, and clinics for the optimum exposure to patient care in the Detroit metropolitan area. The rotations are under a Certified Prosthetist and include fabrication at our Madison Heights facility, upper extremity, and lower extremity prosthetics. All rotations consist of patient care, billing practices, marketing, and team work to provide the best outcome for our patients.

Certificate or degree in Prosthetics from an accredited Prosthetics program.

Position Highlights:
Cleans and tests equipment. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical failures. Repairs equipment. Completes light data entry and inquiry. Investigates and resolves inventory complications. Assists with shipping and receiving.
