The hard plastic outer shell and the inner soft foam should be CLEANED AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK.  A cloth with water can be used to clean the lining followed by a terrycloth towel to help dry the foam.

The brace will dry itself in 20 minutes.  If the brace is needed sooner, a hair dryer on the coldest setting can be used to dry it in 5-20 minutes.

The outer plastic can tolerate rough cleaning.  The plastic brace should not be left in the hot sun or by a warm radiator as the plastic may soften and lose its shape.

Rubbing alcohol may be used to clean the brace.  Simply wipe out the inside of the brace with alcohol and rinse with water.  This will prevent a soap buildup.  This should be done 1-2 times per month.
