Scoliosis Research Study Seeking Volunteers

Do you know someone with  (AIS)? The Department of Psychology at Eastern Michigan University is looking for research participants for a study on AIS.  The purpose of the study is to better understand how families cope with and communicate about AIS.

  • Adolescent Idiopathic ScoliosisMother and daughter pairs who meet the following criteria may be eligible to participate in the study:
  • Daughter has been diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
  • Daughter has been prescribed a brace for her spine condition
  • Daughter is between the ages of 12-17 years
  • Mother is also willing to participate

Participating in the study would involve reading and answering questions about scoliosis and your relationship with your daughter in an online survey.  Daughters would be asked to read and answer similar questions. Each mother-daughter pair who chooses to participate will be eligible to win 1 of 10 gift cards to a local retail store of their choosing (the gift cards are each worth $50).
