Wright & Filippis has transferred its Diabetic Supply Business to US Med

Early this year, changes were announced to Medicare services that will greatly impact all Medicare diabetic patients nationwide. These changes will impact our diabetic patient base. Beginning July 1, 2013, Medicare will only pay for items that beneficiaries purchase from approved contract suppliers.

Unfortunately, Wright & Filippis was not selected as one of the approved suppliers. The company has long relied on reimbursements from Medicare and other insurance payers in order to provide quality products and services to our diabetic supply patients. Without the reimbursements from Medicare, Wright & Filippis is unable to sustain the diabetic supply business.

Because of this change we have decided it was an appropriate time to sell our diabetic supply business to US MED, a respected national mail order company that we know will uphold the high standard of service Wright & Filippis customers have come to expect.

What does this mean to you our customer? Going forward, US MED was chosen by us to follow up on our diabetic patients' needs and will be servicing you from this point forward. They have acquired our patient list and will maintain the mail-order diabetic supply business. You will be able to order your medical supplies from US MED and should expect no disruption of service. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one brought about by unfortunate and unexpected market changes that were entirely out of our control. As we look to the future, we will continue to find ways to improve our operations while maintaining the highest quality of services for our patients and our partners.

We have been honored to provide diabetic services to you in the past. As always, Wright & Filippis remains "First to Serve, First to Care" for all of your other healthcare needs.
