A CPAP/BiPAP machine is used to treat obstructive sleep apnea. The CPAP provides continuous positive airway pressure, which flows into the airway through a mask, keeping the airway open during sleep. A BiPAP, or bi-level machine, assists your breathing by monitoring airflow and adjusts the output. It lets you inhale and exhale at separate pressure levels. These are the most effective methods of treatment.
