Cylinder Cleaning and Maintenance |
Cleaning and decontamination of respiratory therapy equipment in the home is of major concern. All cleaning and disinfecting should be performed in a clean environment. We do not recommend performing this in dirty, dusty or smoky areas, after vacuuming or under an open window.
Oxygen cylinders and regulators are durable, dependable pieces of equipment that will continue to operate efficiently with very little maintenance. As necessary, you should wipe your regulator, cylinder, cart and/or carrying case with a clean, damp cloth. Never use cleaning sprays, wax or polish as many of these products can be flammable.
Never attempt to service or repair any oxygen equipment yourself, as only properly trained personnel can do so. Should you have any problems with your oxygen equipment at any time, call Wright & Filippis immediately.
