The rain and cold temperatures felt more like fall weather than like summer. Despite the dreary conditions, 250 golfers braved the elements to participate in the 16th Annual Gene Filippis Memorial (Play "Fore" Ability) Golf Benefit on June 5. The golf benefit kicked off a summer packed with events sponsored by Wright & Filippis.

Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester hosted the golf outing, which included 18 holes of golf followed by dinner, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Each year, Wright & Filippis chooses a different non-profit organization with which to share the proceeds from the golf outing. This year, the proceeds from the event were divided between the American Diabetes Association and the Rehabilitation Research Center (RRC).
