Hall of Fame Kicks Off 2002
The Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame held their 4th Annual Kickoff Reception in July. The event was held at Petruzzello's Banquet Center in Troy. Guests of the reception included past inductees, local business people and supporters of the Hall of Fame. Everyone enjoyed hors d'oeuvres in a relaxed atmosphere. This year's class of inductees was also announced at the reception:
Bill Griggs, spinal cord injury - Paralympian
Ken Huber, spinal cord injury - Various Sports
Marguerite "Margo" Maddox, cerebral palsy - Cycling, Track & Field
Marva Ways, spinal cord injury - basketball, track & field, bowling
