"First to Serve ... First to Care"
is Not a Slogan

"First to Serve ... First to Care" is not a slogan created by an advertising firm. For nearly 60 years, it's been a phrase that Wright & Filippis has taken to heart. In the aftermath of last September's terrorist attacks, employees proved once again that Wright & Filippis is, indeed, first to care.

In late September, employees gathered together to design, manufacture, and donate custom paw protectors for the rescue dogs in New York. The "booties" were made of material that would protect the dogs' paws from being cut while searching through the rubble.

Not stopping there, employees rose to the occasion again - this time for a company-wide fundraising effort, which raised $25,000; comprised of $12,500 donated by employees and a matching contribution by the company. The money is intended to assist in the American Red Cross's massive relief efforts in New York. "The generosity of our employees does not come as a surprise to me," said A.J. Filippis, President of Wright & Filippis. "They are very caring and giving people. It shows in what they do every day to help others."

Helping others is what this business is all about.
