WRIGHT & FILIPPIS EMPLOYEES:
Getting the most out of your BCBS

By: Stephanie VanZutphen / ALCOS

How do you get the most out of your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) drug coverage? Take advantage of BCBSM's mail order prescription drug program.

It has been communicated that your copay for generic drugs is $15 for a 34 day supply at the pharmacy and $15 for a 35 - 90 day supply through mail order. Your copay for brand name drugs is $50 for a 34 day supply at the pharmacy and $50 for a 35 - 90 day supply through mail order.

The BCBSM mail order prescription drug program is serviced by Merck-Medco Rx. It is convenient and ultimately reduces your cost for prescription drugs that are needed for medications that you take on an ongoing basis. Insulin, insulin syringes, medications to reduce blood pressure and treat asthma are all examples of prescriptions that are available through mail order services. An envelope of information is available that contains directions on how to obtain and refill maintenance drugs though BCBSM's partner, Merck-Medco Rx. Refilling your medications can be done online (www.merckmedco.com), by phone or through the mail. Your medication is delivered to you via U.S. Mail or UPS. You may pay by check, money order, credit card or HRA/Flex card.

You can request mail service envelopes and applications through Human Resources at Wright & Filippis, Inc. or you can contact Merck-Medco Rx Member Services directly at
1-800-903-8346. The TDD number for the hearing impaired is 1-800-759-1089. A registered pharmacist is also available at that number to answer any questions you may have about your medication.

The mail order prescription drug program is one of many programs provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. We will continue to notify you via payroll and the company newsletter of additional benefits.
