Wright & Filippis Turns 60!
In honor of our 60th Anniversary, we would like to take the opportunity to say "Thank You" to the three generations of people who have trusted Wright & Filippis with their home healthcare needs. Throughout 2004, we will be involved in a variety of community projects to show our appreciation. Charitable Donation Program
Wright & Filippis will donate $1000 to each of 60 different non-profit organizations. We will be accepting applications from October 1, 2003 - December 31, 2003. Printable donation applications are available on our website.
AmpuTeam Program
This new program was established to bring amputees, prosthetists, therapists, and physicians together to work toward the common goal
of resuming full participation in all aspects of daily life. By working together, the AmpuTeam will have significantly positive effects on patient outcomes. Over the course of the year, Wright & Filippis will be holding several AmpuTeam clinics throughout Michigan and Northwest Ohio. Wright & Filippis, through the AmpuTeam Program, will also provide Disability Awareness Programs to schools across Michigan. The programs are geared toward students of all ages, and will run from January, 2004 - May, 2004. Contact Sherri Szep at sszep@wright-filippis.com if you are interested in hosting a Disability Awareness Program in your school.
First to Care Program
Through the "First to Care" program, employees from all Wright & Filippis locations will be donating their time to various local community groups, performing community outreach. Photos and stories of their experiences will be available in future editions of the Communicator, as well as online.
Children's Art Contest
Children, ages 5-12, will have an opportunity to win a $100 savings bond by entering the Wright & Filippis 60th Anniversary Art Contest. Children can create a drawing or painting based around a pre-determined theme. Further details and entry form can be found at www.FirstToServe.com.
Wright & Filippis in the Community
Wright & Filippis will continue to sponsor its annual events - Wheelchair Daze, Gene Filippis Memorial Golf Benefit, Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame, and the Free Press Marathon Disabilities Division.
