Wright & Filippis Takes Steps to Prepare for Emergencies

In the event of an electrical emergency, here are some helpful hints for people who depend on us for their oxygen:

• Please remain calm.

• You may want to plug in an old-fashioned phone (not a cordless phone). These traditional phones are more likely to work in the event of a power failure.

• If the power goes out and you need tank delivery service, be prepared to let the phone representative know how many tanks you have and what size they are.

• Remember, open flames and oxygen do not mix. Please keep all candles away from your oxygen source.
As we learned last summer, the electricity can go out at any time, for any reason. While we hope we won't have a repeat of last summer's blackout, we want you to be assured that in the event of an electrical emergency, we have taken many steps to ensure that our oxygen customers will receive the service they need.

Wright & Filippis has worked with officials and negotiated arrangements to ensure access to gasoline for our delivery vehicles. We have also developed a system to quickly identify high-risk patients and they are prioritized for immediate service. In addition, Wright & Filippis will be
able to continue producing oxygen for our customers if the electricity fails.

Because we know how important it is for our oxygen customers to receive information regarding our services, we've also made arrangements with several local radio stations that, in the event of an electrical emergency, will broadcast updates on our services.

"Our oxygen customers depend on us, so it is important that we are able to meet their needs under any circumstances," said Tim Hatt, Director of Respiratory Services. "We want our customers and their families to feel at ease."
