Wright & Filippis to the Rescue

Wright & Filippis came to the rescue of a Detroit-area woman who had trouble leaving her house. Christine Davis lost her legs due to diabetes, and without a wheelchair ramp, getting in and out of her home was nearly impossible. Her support group leader called a local news station to see if they could help somehow.

One phone call later, and Rodney Allen and Brad Wert of Wright & Filippis' construction department were at Davis' home taking measurements and installing a wheelchair ramp.

"It's our 60th anniversary this year so we really made an effort to do some extra community service," said Bill Gumbleton, Lifts Elevators & Ramps sales manager. "This fit in with our program for this year and we're glad to help."
