Wright & Filippis Receives Honors
Wright & Filippis has recently received two great honors. AJ Filippis was named to the DME Competitive Bidding Advisory Panel. One of 21 people on the panel, AJ will join the others in advising the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the best way to send and analyze bids. The Advisory panel is composed of a diverse group of individuals ranging from manufacturers to providers as well as representatives from Medicaid. Competitive bidding will begin in ten of the largest metropolitan areas, which includes the Detroit area.
Additionally, we are very proud to announce Maryellen Baker, Head of Respiratory Care, has been named to the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care for the State of Michigan. As a member of the Board appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm, Maryellen, along with the other members, will be responsible for overseeing licensure of respiratory therapists in Michigan, and for reviewing and approving rules in the scope of practice for respiratory therapists. The Board was created by an amendment to the Public Health Code.
