As many of you know, Wright & Filippis is "first to serve your home healthcare needs", but what you may not know is the scope of products and services we offer. In addition to home medical equipment, prosthetics and orthotics, Wright & Filippis is the leading local provider of diabetic supplies.

On the strength of our customer service and delivery system, we are successfully competing with the national companies through our mail order program. This program also includes a staff who deal with the clinical issues and questions patients may have regarding their medical supplies.

With that in mind, I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about our Central Supply Department, which handles diabetic, ostomy and urological supplies.

The Central Supply Department is divided into two groups – diabetic supplies and ostomy/urological supplies. The larger of the two is the diabetic supply group which takes up to 1,300 calls per day. As the local leader in diabetic supplies, we've tried to make the ordering process as easy and convenient as possible by offering online ordering. Since its introduction in 2002, we've seen a consistent increase in the number of people ordering supplies online.

To order online 24 hours a day, simply log on to www.FirstToServe.com and select ONLINE DIABETICS from the Quick Service Guide and follow the instructions.

The ostomy/urological supply group is smaller in comparison – they respond to more than 150 calls per day but generally require more time with each patient due to the sensitive nature of their concerns. Customers needing ostomy and urological supplies (as well as diabetic supplies), can place their order by calling (800) 343-4944. All of our Customer Service Representatives are available during business hours, 8 am - 5 pm (ET), Monday through Friday. Whether it's placing an order or answering your questions, our staff will be happy to handle your request.
