Tsunami Relief
In the aftermath of last December's tsunami, employees have proven once again that Wright & Filippis is, indeed, first to care. Wright & Filippis and its employees rose to the occasion for a company-wide fundraising effort, which raised $15,000 for the Salvation Army. The staff at Bond Center hosted a fundraiser in February to help with the relief efforts. They sold tables to vendors who showcased their items for employees to purchase. Once the sale was over, the vendors also donated a portion of their profits. The Bond Center expo raised $300, which was added to the tsunami relief fund. The vendors included Cookie Lee Jewelry hosted by Colleen Morgan, Party Lite Candles hosted by Wendy Lijana, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Avon, Discovery Toys, Simply Tasteful, Body Shop, Southern Living at Home, Bunny Blankets, Diaper Cakes and Mary Kay. "The generosity of our employees does not come as a surprise to me," said A.J. Filippis, President of Wright & Filippis. "They are very caring and giving people. It shows in what they do every day to help others." |
