A Day to Enjoy

For some people, it's an event they look forward to all year but for many, this was their first time attending. In either case, it was a day enjoyed by everyone. August 6, 2005 marked the 25th annual Wheelchair Daze Picnic – a free event for people with disabilities and their families – held at Independence Oaks Park in Clarkston, Michigan. This year's event brought record-breaking attendance with more than 1,800 guests participating in the day's festivities. Picnic-goers enjoyed a barbecue lunch, games, music, and boat rides – all barrier-free.

Wright & Filippis would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped to make this event a success. We would not have been able to service all of the guests without your help. We would also like to extend special thanks to Tony Rubino and Danny Rubino for their generous donation of hamburgers, hot dogs and buns, and to Pepsi for their donation of soft drinks.
