Warren
This edition of the Communicator features our Warren facility. Working in one of the largest and busiest Wright & Filippis facilities, the Warren staff is proud to share some of the steps they're taking to improve the service within the office. One of the ways in which they're improving customer service is by cross-training to learn each other's jobs. By learning what one another does on a daily basis, the front office staff will be more efficient and better equipped to handle a patient's or customer's requests.
In further efforts to improve efficiency and customer service, the facility is utilizing file imaging. "We are the first office to start using file imaging," said Laura Morgan, CSR. "All of the files can be viewed on the computer screen, which makes accessing files faster and easier, and allows for easier billing."
The Warren facility's staff is also very involved in the community, participating in several programs with area hospitals. They currently have two residency programs in place. "The first is designed for physicians from Bi-County, Mt. Clemens General, and St. John Macomb hospitals to spend the day with us learning about orthotics and prosthetics and the ways in which Wright & Filippis can help their patients," said Joe Pandori, Assistant Manager. "The second program is for orthotic and prosthetic residents to spend a three-month rotation here in Warren before moving on."
Also active with area hospitals are the orthotic fitters. They visit several St. John Helath System hospitals to provide the hospital staff with Jobst support stockings. In addition, orthotists also visit three diabetic wound care centers to better meet patients' orthotic needs.
The Warren facility is staffed by 26 employees, including three prosthetists, eight orthotists, eleven office staff members and three residents. Manager Les VanKuren leads his team with 22 years experience with Wright & Filippis. The Warren facility is located at 13384 E. Eleven Mile Rd. and can be reached at (586) 756-4020.
