Facility Spotlight:
Saginaw

We'd like to introduce you to Wright & Filippis' Saginaw facility. Wright & Filippis has been in Saginaw since 1983, and just recently relocated to a larger building.

Managed by Bernie Reid, the staff of 27 operates a full-service facility with a complete range of services – prosthetics, orthotics, home medical equipment, respiratory, and wheelchairs. They have an in-house prosthetics and orthotics lab as well as a warehouse, liquid oxygen transfilling station, and infusion therapy services.

The staff is excited to be in their new building - it boasts 16,000 square feet of space, which is nearly double the size of the previous facility.

"The benefits of being in the new building are endless!" said manager Shelli Edwards. "We are in a great location with barrier-free access, we're much more accessible to patients, and the extra space allows us to stock more products."

The staff of the Saginaw facility is actively involved in the community, participating in the St. Mary's Hospital Thanksgiving basket donations and Christmas shop; the Spirit Challenge Bike Marathon; American Cancer Society; and were instrumental in helping with the construction of the Boundless Playground for challenged children.

The prosthetics department was host to the C-Leg/Compact RoadShow by Otto Bock Healthcare - a traveling program designed for patients to experience first hand the C-Leg technology. Wright & Filippis' Saginaw facility was the only stop in the Tri-Cities area for the RoadShow. The event included patient fittings, demonstrations, and educational information.

"We are proud to be a part of the RoadShow to be able to expose the community to this technology and the dramatic impact it can have on people's lives," said Dave Keck, Certified Prosthetist.

The Saginaw facility is located at 3665 Bay Road and can be reached at (989) 799-7360. Stop in and say hello!
