Rehab Conference Provides New Information for Healthcare Professionals

More than 200 healthcare professionals will attend the Michigan Health & Rehab Conference in May. The conference, hosted by Wright & Filippis, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and The Filippis Foundation, is a dynamic interdisciplinary program intended to address multiple issues facing our rehabilitation patients.

We are pleased to feature two keynote speakers and learner objectives for the conference. Humor and Healing from the Patients Perspective presented by Brenda Elsagher examines the types and benefits of humor and appropriate use for patients. The second keynote presentation, It's Your Legacy... LIVE IT! is presented by Renee Wall Rongen and examines life line living - creating balance and harmony with career and home life. In addition, three breakout sessions feature a variety of courses on such topics as cultural diversity in the workplace, case management, orthotics, prosthetics, wheelchair seating, and Medicare set-asides, as well as others. Continuing education credits are available to participants.
