Prosthetic Patient Care Clinics Provide Benefits for Amputees

Wright & Filippis' AmpuTeam program holds patient care clinics for amputees. The clinics provide private consultations and evaluations performed by the Wright & Filippis prosthetic team along with John Michael, CPO. Michael holds a Masters Degree in clinical education and is active in several professional societies, including the Upper Limb Prosthetic & Gait Societies of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP). He also has numerous publications on prosthetic and orthotic topics in a variety of texts and medical journals.

Amputees are evaluated on their gait and the fit of their prosthesis and are given tips based on their individual needs. Wright & Filippis' prosthetists also receive feedback if there is anything they can do to improve the fit of the prosthesis or overall patient experience.
