A Spartans Victory
The courageous AmpuTeam Spartans took on the Beaumont Hospital All Stars in the fifth installment of the AmpuTeam Basketball Challenge. The Spartans were victorious with a score of 47-37. Created by Wright & Filippis, the basketball challenge has given amputees the chance to play basketball against local hospitals. More importantly, it's a way to raise money and awareness.
The charity game was held at Royal Oak High School and raised about $2,500. The proceeds will be shared among the Beaumont Pediatric Center, the Extremity Games, and the Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame.
