WELCOME
to the March/April 2007 edition of the Online Communicator
In this edition of the online Communicator you will find two articles involving our new and improved Alpena facility. Located at 1201 W. Chisholm the new building is bigger and better allowing Wright & Filippis to warehouse a greater variety of home medical products and its state-of-the-art fabrication lab will improve the staff's ability to deliver customized products as quickly and conveniently as possible.
This new facility set the scene for the amazing story of a remarkable young man who overcame tremendous odds. Kesmy St. Louis had a terrible accident that lead to the amputation of both of his arms. Born in Haiti, Kesmy's chances of proper care were very slim. Through the kindness of a stranger named Anne Hume, Kesmy was brought to the United States and eventually to the Wright & Filippis Alpena office where he was given prosthetic arms. March 27th is American Diabetes Alert Day. This is a silent disease, in that people can have diabetes and not even know it. Read this informative article to see what makes you at risk. April is foot health awareness month. Foot and ankle health is important to your overall well-being and people with diabetes need to pay special attention to their feet. Read this article for helpful information on how to take care of your feet. Wright & Filippis holds three to four blood drives every year. Find out how many lives have been saved so far this year. What is Jean Day you ask? Find out in the Letter from the Prez and enjoy this new edition of the Online Communicator.
As always, we welcome your feedback.
