The 20th Annual
Dick Purtan Radiothon

It was a group effort on Friday, February 23, 2007. The Salvation Army, 104.3 FM WOMC, Dick Purtan, and Purtan's People joined forces to raise money for the Bed & Bread Club. The Salvation Army's Bed & Bread Club provides food and shelter to the hungry and homeless. The radiothon aired live from the Oakland Mall and started at 6 am. This year's

16-hour fundraiser raised a grand total of $2,398,783.00.
Wright and Filippis® Vice President John Wright was there to present a check of $2,900. Employees of the company raised $900 through the jean day program. Wright & Filippis volunteers were also manning the phones and taking donations at the event.

In the 20 year history of the Dick Purtan Radiothon nearly $14 million has been raised for the Bed & Bread Club.
