Extreme sports proved to be extremely competitive for athletes of all abilities. Wright & Filippis sent a team of 12 individuals to compete in the O&P Extremity Games, an extreme amateur sporting competition for amputees, held in Orlando, Florida. The Wright & Filippis team won nine medals, including a special Jeff Green Friendship Award, won by Jim Wazny, who works in Amputee Support Services for Wright & Filippis. This coveted award is chosen by all participating athletes. Along with this award, Jim received a $1,000 check which he donated to The Filippis Foundation. Jim, who works in the Saginaw facility, said, "It is such an honor to win this award and to have the opportunity to compete with other athletes. I would like to thank Ken Woodward and A.J. Filippis for their support and also Ryan Filippis for his hard work as part of our support team." Now that the games have come to a close, Ken Woodward, C.P.O., Director of Prosthetics, extends a sincere thank you to the support team for their hard work and dedication with the event. Also, Ken thanks A.J. Filippis, President of Wright & Filippis, and The Filippis Foundation for their continued support.
