Facility Spotlight – Lapeer
Welcome to the Wright & Filippis Lapeer facility! The first thing that comes to mind when describing the location is that it's convenient. It's located across from the Lapeer Regional Hospital at 1370 North Main Street. The Lapeer staff has been working with the Lapeer County Health Department to introduce a new diabetic program. The program will offer awareness, education and support, something that Lapeer County has been lacking for years.
Wright & Filippis Manager, Bill VanPelt has been working with Ray Brown, President of the Wheelin Team 457, an organization that provides the physically challenged with indoor and outdoor sports and recreation. Past events have included a deer hunt camp at Bear Lake Camp in Lapeer and at the Fowler Center in Mayville. On February 9, 2008 the Lapeer facility will be supporting the Fowler Center in an Ice Fishing Tournament. The Lapeer facility was voted "2007 Best of the Best Readers Choice Award" for the best in medical equipment and supplies.
