First to serve, first to care. The Lincoln Park office has been trying to show their community how well they exude the Wright & Filippis company motto, especially since the recent tornado. Weather damage spanned many areas, including Dundee in Monroe County. In the aftermath, thousands of people were without power and others were left with extensive damage to homes and community buildings. Two days after the storm hit, DTE reported that about 1,800 were still without power.
Office manager Rhonda Nowitzke contacted the local Dundee church that was organizing relief efforts. They were
asking for monetary donations and also any non-perishable items including food items, cleaning/bath products, bedding sets, etc.
In hopes of helping those in need, the office organized a food drive for June 11 and also sponsored a Jean Day on June 25 at the office. In just one day, they raised $55 and many boxes of donated goods. Thanks to everyone who donated to help make this effort a success!
