Greetings, I wanted to take a brief moment to discuss some exciting changes with Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame (ADHOF) and Extremity Events Network (EEN). While these changes will likely be transparent to most of you, EEN and ADHOF are excited to announce their merger to become Athletes with Disabilities Network (ADN), a subsidiary of Easter Seals Michigan. As Chairman of the newly founded ADN Board of Directors, I am excited for this new journey and look forward to the continued growth of this amazing organization. I assure you that ADN will continue to provide an outstanding service to our community. Our mission at ADN is to promote a better quality of life by creating opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities. By using sports as a catalyst for conversation and engagement, we will provide community outreach and awareness, collegiate scholarships, mentoring and community resource materials. We will also host two annual events, including: Extremity Games an extreme sports event including competitions, various exhibitions and instructional clinics for those with disabilities. Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame Dinner honors individuals who overcome physical challenges to become elite athletes and superior role models. Additionally, I would like to announce that ADN has appointed Beth Taylor as Executive Director for ADN. Beth is a co-creator of Extremity Games and over the last year has worked at Easter Seals Michigan, overseeing the Marketing and Communications Department. Please join me in welcoming Beth to this new role. We are very excited to have her on the ADN team. During this time of transition, you can continue to find updates on events, services and resources by visiting www.adhof.org and www.extremitygames.com or by calling Beth at (248) 451-2993. Thank you for your continued support. Very Sincerely, Tony Rubino ADN Chairman |
