Liquid Oxygen Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and decontamination of respiratory therapy equipment in the home is of major concern. All cleaning and disinfecting should be performed in a clean environment. We do not recommend performing this in dirty, dusty or smoky areas, after vacuuming or near an open window.
Oxygen systems require very little cleaning. The equipment can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, but do not use a damp cloth on the filling connectors. Never use chemical cleaners, sprays, polish or wax. Never use oil, grease or other lubricants on your units. Never try to open your units or repair them yourself.
Your liquid reservoir has a drain bottle that will collect the condensation created by the unit. Empty this bottle on a regular basis and reinstall it on the reservoir to prevent moisture from running down the side of the unit.
