Certified Orthotist
Amy Ruddock Bleed is a Certified Orthotist credentialed by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics, who has been caring for patients in the Ann Arbor location since 2016.
Amy has earned certifications to provide several specialized orthotic devices using 3D scanning technology. Some of these include but are not limited to, Orthomerica Starband cranial remolding orthoses, custom spinal and Scoliosis orthoses (including 3D, Providence, and Cheneau types), and the Phits/Go4D system for 3D printed foot orthotics.
Amy also specializes in custom carbon fiber AFOs, knee braces, stance control devices, and is a certified provider of the Bioness L300Go FES system.
In addition to working across all age groups in general orthotic care, Amy holds a special interest in working with older adults and travels to provide care at several local skilled nursing facilities in the area.
Amy received her Masters of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University and completed her Orthotic residency at Wright and Filippis.
In her previous life, Amy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan-Flint, and Masters of Social Work with a Specialist in Aging Certificate from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. This additional education has enabled her to provide a thoughtful and holistic approach to her patient care.
