Troy earned his bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and went on to complete his prosthetic and orthotic education at Northwestern University. He joined the Wright & Filippis team in 2007, has worked all around metro Detroit gaining experience, and has been in the Rochester Hills location permanently since January of 2017. Troy’s father, Bill Kunst C.O., was his original motivation to pursue the field as he watched the impact Bill had on so many lives. Troy has experience evaluating, designing, fabricating and fitting all ranges of orthotic and prosthetic devices including experience with pediatrics and geriatrics. Troy centers his practice around a “patient first” approach, ensuring each patient receives the optimal device and care. As the Director of the Orthotic Residency Program Troy is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians. When he is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, hunting, golf, exercise of any kind, and going to church.
