Orthotics, often referred to as braces, are devices that are worn on the arms, legs, back, feet and head to support, strengthen or correct that part of the body. Wright & Filippis has a team of highly-skilled and certified orthotists who provide our patients with the best possible quality of service.
Some “off-the-shelf” devices are manufactured in a variety of sizes, and patients are measured to determine the proper size. A qualified clinician then fits the patient to achieve the optimum outcome. Many orthotics, however, must be custom-made to meet the individual needs of a particular patient. After measurements are taken or a cast is made to ensure an accurate, personal fit – the Wright & Filippis orthotics staff truly excels. With a state of the art, in-house fabrication lab at our fingertips, certified orthotists utilize the latest technology and materials to develop customized bracing for each patient in a timely manner.
For more than 65 years, Wright & Filippis has established itself as one of the Midwest’s leaders in the orthotic and pedorthic industry. We boast the largest certified practitioner staff in Michigan, certified by the American Board for Certification (ABC) in Orthotics, Board for Certification in Pedorthics, and Board of Orthotic Certification. Our clinicians also attend on-going educational programs which allow them to provide the newest technology to their patients.
