For more than 60 years, Wright & Filippis has established itself as one of the Midwest’s leaders in the orthotic and pedorthic industry. We boast the largest certified practitioner staff in Michigan, certified by the American Board for Certification (ABC) in Orthotics, Board for Certification in Pedorthics, and Board of Orthotic Certification. Additionally, each of our facilities must meet the high standards set by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our clinicians also attend on-going educational programs which allow them to provide the newest technology to their patients.
Orthotic devices can be divided into two categories - custom fit and custom fabricated. Custom fit orthotics are manufactured in a variety of sizes and the patient is measured to determine his/her size. A qualified clinician then fits the patient to achieve the optimum outcome.
Many custom fabricated orthotics are made in our in-house lab. Measurements are taken or a cast is made to ensure an accurate, personal fit. Our extensive in-house fabricating facilities help us to produce the highest quality devices in a very timely manner.
