Justin originally began his patient care career in 1998 at the University of Michigan after finishing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in athletic training. He first began to develop an interest in orthotics while working with athletes and patients who required various orthoses and post-operative care as a part of their physical therapy programs. This laid the foundation for a transition into orthotics and prosthetics after the opening of the master’s degree program at Eastern Michigan University. There he received graduate certificates in both orthotics and prosthetics and later finished both residencies with Becker Orthopedic at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Now with Wright and Filippis at the Ferndale location, he predominantly provides prosthetics care to patients of all ages with lower extremity amputations, with a special interest in amputee post-operative care and prosthetic solutions for various partial foot amputations. Justin's approach to successful patient care begins with listening to the needs of each patient and making sure every effort is given to ease them back into restarting life with the use of a prosthesis.
