MyCRO™ Band Cranial Helmet

When your baby’s head needs something more to guide its growth, you’ll only trust an orthosis that will treat your baby as tenderly as you do. There’s only one solution – the MyCRO Band by Ottobock. It’s a band so intuitively designed treatment feels effortless. A band so comfortable, with a fit so wearable, that for 23 hours a day, it keeps the focus right where it should be — on everything else your child needs to thrive.

With the MyCRO Band: the only gentler touch is yours.

How It Works

The tailor-made band applies gentle, barely-there pressure exactly where it’s needed to guide the growth of your baby’s head. This precise, tender touch helps everything take the right shape during the treatment process and can be worn up to 23 hours a day without discomfort.

Benefits at a Glance

Designed Just For Baby

As unique as your child's head and designed with state-of-the-art 3D scanning and printing technology, your baby's MyCRO Band will be perfectly made to fit.

Very Comfortable

Uniquely light and slim, the MyCRO Band offers an innovative, open-air design that’s built to be easier to wear than traditional foam helmets. The washable inner lining stays clean, soft, and gentle on your baby’s sensitive skin.

Easy to Use

The "squirm-proof" MySize Closure System keeps the orthosis in the correct position and self-adjusts to your baby’s correcting head shape. Experience fewer adjustments, fewer trips to the orthotist, and more time in your day.

Choose The MyCRO Band

Combine fast and effective treatment with state-of-the-art design to keep your baby comfortable. Select from a range of 3D printed graphic designs to represent your baby’s adorable personality.

This helmet is much simpler to fit than the classic helmet.

This helmet is much simpler to fit than the classic helmet. It is more precise and we can deliver it directly, without any alterations, which was not the case with a classic helmet.

This helmet really is easier to fit

This helmet really is easier to fit. The fact that there is no foam inside the helmet reduces the need for frequent growth-related adjustments. It’s lined with a removable washable fabric, made of synthetic fibers, which has the advantage of being absorbent, considerably limiting skin reactions. And above all, it’s less thick [than traditional cranial orthoses]. That thickness can bother some little ones during naps or at night. Over-thickness in the neck [area] can cause the neck to bend, and cause discomfort.

This helmet is better tolerated and is more easily adjustable than the helmets we used before

This helmet is better tolerated and is more easily adjustable than the helmets we used before, which were thicker, difficult to adjust and heavy. [Before], to make sure that a child accepted [a traditional helmet] well, inner foam needed to be grinded or pads needed to be added which was challenging. I think, the MyCRO Band cranial orthosis is much better made thanks to 3D printing and it is more easily modified or adjustable by the CPO than the helmets we had before, which were rigid, heavy, thick. So it fulfills its mission and we can actually prescribe it more easily because it is well tolerated.
