Testimonials

We're incredibly thankful for our clients, who remind us every day why we're so committed to helping others improve their daily lives.

I started at the VA and was not happy with their services so I tried Wright & Filippis and haven’t looked back.

I have been coming to them for 30+ years now. I had a below the knee amputation and Wright & Filippis has done a great job at helping me and I have always been happy with their services. I started with the Detroit office and have been happy with every leg I have acquired. “We haven’t failed him yet!”

Super people, all around. Never had any better service than when working with them. I wish I would have known Bill when I first lost my leg. I am happy they take my insurance and offer payment plans for any out of pocket. Bill is readily available when I need him for a follow-up.

I have been a patient with Wright & Filippis since the spring of 2015. I visit the Ann Arbor office and Bill Simon is my Prosthetist. I had to have an above knee amputation in 2003 due to a logging accident. My overall experience with Wright & Filippis has been great for me. Bill provides me with excellent care. I have always worn a direct fit socket but Bill recently had me try a new liner and it’s working out wonderful. It fits and stays on great and is easy on my skin.

I am an 80-year-old hay farmer and now that my prosthesis fits exactly the way I want it so I am able to load and unload hay, and also drive my backhoe and other farming equipment again. The secret to my success is getting back to my normal day and not feeling sorry for myself and Bill has helped me achieve that. I would highly recommend Bill Simon and look forward to working with him in the future.

I encourage all amputees to try and remain as active as you can. The more you sit around the more work it is going to be to resume normal everyday life. I am happy that my prosthesis allows me to do all the farm work I need to do, cut and split wood, drive the tractor, work the clutch, etc. I do not stumble or have the knee buckle on this knee, even out in the grass. I have caught my foot on a grapevine and was still able to catch myself from falling. I spend a lot of time in the summer doing work around my pond and this prosthesis allows me to do that work with my leg on, I don’t have to worry about water with this knee.

I have been a patient of Ed’s for 10 years and I called him my prosthetic angel! When he talked to me first about getting the first leg through him, the way he spoke to me he seemed like an angel with a full load of knowledge. After seeing him for some time I realized that was true. Any time I needed anything he was there for me. He is a god sent!

Ed keeps up with my record and makes any adjustments and corrections when needed. He also is very up to date and I am the first person in Michigan to get this new type of microprocessor prosthetic ankle. I would recommend Ed Brewer to anybody. But only if you like angels. He is one heck of a good guy.

I am so happy with the services Wright & Filippis has provided me for over 15 years. They have provided me with three C- legs and have always worked closely with me to make sure the fit is perfect so that I can be as mobile as possible.

I have had several prosthetists over the years. All have been great including Bill Simon. The responsive, thorough and comprehensive care I receive from Wright & Filippis makes my quality of life possible.

I am currently in an Ischial Containment Socket with a flexible inner knee with a C- leg four microprocessor knee and a Triton vertical shock foot. My advice to other users: I have been able to incorporate Wright & Filippis as part of my team to manage my amputation and make my life as an amputee as productive and pleasant as possible. I urge everyone to keep working with your prosthetist until you get it right- it’s possible and worth the effort!

The whole process has been difficult, but very successful because of the care and professionalism provided by Amy and everyone at Wright & Fillippis.

I have been a patient with Wright & Fillippis since April 2017. I had to have a below the knee amputation in April 2017 on my left leg for persistent cellulitis and osteomyelitis on my left foot. My entire experience with Wright & Fillippis has been wonderful. I have always been very active and was very concerned about being able to return to an active lifestyle after the surgery. Amy has been a real source of encouragement for me through the whole process. She made the whole experience much easier by working with me to find the right prosthesis that would give me the best opportunity to be fully active again. I am back to playing golf, going to the gym, and traveling again. I can fully recommend Amy Webb and the Wright Fillippis team and look forward to working with them in the future.

I am very impressed with Wright and Fillipis, and the level of care and products they have.

I have an Ottobock X3 right above knee prosthesis, and it is an incredible piece of machinery. W&F has been there for me since the beginning of my amputation.  They have provided me with around the clock care with socket fitting and re-adjustment with my leg for better ambulation. Not only has W&F helped me with the physical components needed for ambulation, but they have given me a very positive outlook on the whole process of getting back on my feet to resume normalcy.

I can speak for many others, and myself that going through any type of amputation is a physically and mentally daunting challenge. This is a type of situation in which you are reminded of every day. The only advice that I can give to others in these situations is to keep working with your physical therapists and prosthetist to get the best possible outcome for yourself and your future. In my case, Michael Allen of W&F has helped me get over many obstacles of getting used to the new prosthesis and being able to use it in my day to day activities with a feeling of normalcy.  I really appreciate all that W&F has done for me and will continue to do in my future!!

Troy's attention to detail, patience, and communication are wonderful to have when I am just starting my journey to a full recovery.

I am an above the knee amputee and I wouldn’t be in such a positive place today without meeting and developing client/friendship relationship with Troy Kunst. He is highly professional, intelligent, informative, with lots of experience and he has made my transition with my prosthetic so much easier. I look forward to the days ahead in regaining a productive life with the help of Troy.

When I dream about being a great runner, I can still achieve these dreams.

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident back in April of 2017, where I lost my leg. I was outside of my car on the side of highway 96, the main highway in Detroit. I was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital with a tourniquet around my leg near death. That is when I thought my life and athletic career were over. The doctors saved my life, and Wright & Filippis saved my sanity. Sports were and still are my life and without the work that Mike and everyone in this amazing company did, I wouldn’t be as positive and happy as I am today. Not only did Wright & Filippis make me a perfectly fitting leg, but they also did it very quickly. I felt like a friend or even a family.

A lot of companies only care about the paycheck, not Wright & Filippis. This is not just a one and done relationship, this is a continuing support group that helps me through everything. Not only do I speak to Mike about any problems with my prosthetic, but we frequently text about my life and his. So when I talk about having dreams, they haven’t changed. When I dream about being a great runner, I can still achieve these dreams. This is all thanks to the amazing men and women of Wright & Filippis.

Rob is great, understanding, and easy to work with. He will not steer you wrong!

I met Rob when I was in the hospital healing after my surgery and we really connected. He acted like I was a friend or family member. He will not sugar coat it and will tell you exactly what needs to be done, but he knows his information very well and will make sure you are comfortable the entire way and you will be very happy with the end result!

I’ve known Rodney all my life and really like seeing him. He does a great job fitting and making adjustments to my foot.

My first visit was before I was born, I was born without my fibula. My Parents had lots of questions about the prosthetics and visited Wright & Filippis. I’ve known and Rodney all my life and really like seeing him. He does a great job fitting and making adjustments to my foot.

My prosthesis allows me to work, golf, do yoga and walk up the stairs foot over foot.

I was born with the absence of my left tibia bone which led to an amputation at nine months old. I am a patient of Wright and Filippis for one reason, and that reason is my prosthetist; Rodney Coleman. Rodney has been a part of my journey since day one.

Out of all that I have learned through my journey, there’s one thing she wants you to know; you are capable of anything you set your mind to. You are enough. Don’t let a label define you.
